so full of ale, we cannot stand.
We not only emptied the dark oak kegs,
but wanted to carry some home on nerveless legs,
We now sit and stare with grief into our glass,
Alas, alas. The beer it had within is ended
And our empty pockets tell us
That all our money is all spended!!
What to do, oh, what do we do?
We only want another few.
We see a random "friend" sitting near,
From whom we try to hitch some more beer,
Oh, darkest woe.
The mean fuck just said no,
And so we go, out into the gloom,
Each sulking into our own room,
That is the place where we must stay,
And try to end this wretched day.
Countless pints of lager, have had a rather dramatic effect,
The night we planned turned out to be,
Not quite what we'd expect!!
Wishing to find your dream girl, How she'd waltz into the bar,
She didn't come, so what the hell,
Let's just order another jar!!
You drink cos you remember that,
You're drinking to forget,
You're thinking of the one you lost,
And the one that you ain't met..
We never did give a damn,
We never will give a toss,
Life's a bitch, so raise a mug..
